Is there a way to preview an HTML template in Dark Mode

We are trying to get our Email to display in light mode regardless of the user's dark mode preferences. We want to enhance this in the future but for now, we only want to allow light mode HTML emails.

Show different content when a collection fails to render

We'd like to add an option where if a collection fails to render because of timeouts or what not, instead of forcing a send skip or rendering empty content, we'd like to show something else. I believe this can be done in a snippet but curious if anyone has done something similar. Thank you!

How to know when to send birthday messages

We're looking to start sending happy birthday messages to our customers and currently have a "birthDate" field that is populated in our instance with MM/DD/YYYY format, but it is a string field, not a date field. Any thoughts on how to dynamically check a string field against the current date to trigger a message send every morning? Best I could come up with is creating a month and a day field on profile table and then creating 12 journeys, 1 for each month and then after they enter, run through an up-to-31 day logic check before firing off the email, but that seems pretty tedious and I imagine there's a better way to do this with RegEx or the like. Has anyone else gone through this exercise?

Building Multi-Channel Journeys with Multiple Paths stemming from Trigger Tile

We use Iterable for email, Push/In-App, phone and mail. On a multi-channel journey, we want to send a user down multiple paths after the trigger tile as displayed here. We've been told this format is not supported by Iterable, but we've been using it successfully for numerous journeys over the last 3.5 years.Other Iterable clients and customers, how do you manage and build your multi-channel journeys? Is everything completely linear in a single path? That seems so limited and restrictive.

Has anyone successfully used Handlebar logic to convert a list of state abbreviations to full name?

Hi there, we are looking to personalize an email by specifically referencing the user's state of residence. However, our user records store state information as abbreviations (ex: CA instead of California) instead of the full state name.I'm looking to use Handlebar logic to say something like "if state = AZ, show 'Arizona'" etc. for each state.Has anyone successfully done this?

Industry Specific Webinar/Group Sessions

Very often Iterable is providing amazing Group Sessions that include losts of best practices, tips and tricks, and more about utilizing the platform to use cases most commonly with Retail. It would be nice if there were some sessions that could tailor the message to other industries instead of figuring out how to take the examples given for sales and apply the concept to our unique industries. We're in financial services and so the "product" is technically financial lending. It's sometimes hard to take "use discounts to reward loyal customers" and transform that to "use X to reward loyal customers" when the qualifications on financial product determines what a discount can be. Just want all types of marketers to get assistance with our use cases that aren't "Sales" based.

Experiment Variants able to have different UTM for Google tracking?

Question for anyone out there! I haven't been able to find a resource stating how I can utilize different Google UTMs for each variant I have in an experiment. Is this something that cannot be done in Iterable's experiments or am I just not looking in the right place?

Setting up unengaged segment

Hey everyone, I just wanted to see how you all set up your unengaged segments. I wanted to capture everyone who hasn't opened or clicked in an email in the last 91 days +This is the logic that I used, but it wouldn't go through and said there was an error when I tried to set it this way. Any ideas what I was doing wrong?

Emails landing in Gmail promo tab instead of primary inbox

Hi guys, we adopted the Iterable platform a few months ago. The objective is to replace a variety of communication platforms in our tech stack with Iterable. However, we have identified that many of our emails are currently landing in Gmail's promo tab instead of the primary inbox, which significantly impacts our conversion metrics and platform ROI. Bad API Key

Hi.I originally created this discussion to ask a question about something that I eventually worked out while writing this post. I believe the term is "cardboard programmer"!While working through the Iterable Academy's "Foundations: Introduction to API" lesson I was unable to get "getByEmail" API to work. I would continuously get a 401 error with a "BadApiKey" code and the msg "Disabled API key or insufficient privileges". I have permissions to create API keys (which is the one I was using for the lesson) and am able navigate to the User through Audience > Lists page in order to find a valid email on which to search. In the "API Keys" page the key I was using is showing as enabled.What I eventually discovered is that I did not have the key configured as a "Server-Side" type key. As I am as green as they come to Iterable I was not really sure of the implications of this. I will certainly leave comments in the session feedback in a moment, but where can I find documentation about

dateMath generate time left or difference between two dates.

I have a future date, lets call it "lapse" I would like to present the user with the number of days between now an the lapse date. I was hoping to use dateMath {{dateMath lapse -now format="dd"}} however this is not working. Is there a way to calculate the difference between two dates? Or format a date by the time between when an email was sent and the date in the merge parameter?

Email Consistency in Dark Mode

Does anyone know how I can avoid background colors changing in dark mode? For example, if I want the content area background area to be white, how can I set it so it's also white when showing up in dark mode and not flip to black? I notice other email campaigns have achieved this so wondering if there is a way to do this in Iterable or if they must have created those templates elsewhere.

campaign preview with event data

Hello.Is there a way to preview a campaign with user data AND event data?I know I can setup a journey and test the journey with event data, but when different campaigns within that journey use the same event it can be tricky to test them all.Is there a way to preview a campaign with manually entered event data, similar to how you can preview a campaign by entering or loading your own user data?

Creating Dashboards

Hi!I am going to be building dashboards for a client. I am familiar with dashboarding, but I'm unclear on how to actually get started within iterable. I will not own the data once the client signs on, and I'm hoping that there are resources that I can use to get familiar with dashbaording within iterable. Are there any sample data sets that I can use to get familiar with the platform? I've read the article about dashboards, but it isn't particularly helpful, since it states that I have to navigate to "insights", and I don't see that option for me.Any help would be great!

where can I see a workflow trigger?

I haven't used Iterable in a couple of years, but in the past, I was able to see a workflow trigger within the actual flow in the start node (ex. scheduled recurring list, custom event, etc.)However, when I go into an existing workflow, I can only see "other journey" with no info about what the trigger actually is. I'm probably looking in the wrong place, so any quick tip is much appreciated.Thanks!

Hi Users,I am not able to send new line breaks in template variables.for example I have an Email Template :Hi Users, here is the description : {{descriptionText}}So, how can I send a new line break in the descriptionText variable? Currently if I send a new line break then it ignores it in the Email sent.descriptionText :  Lorem Ipsum has \\r\\n been the industry's standard dummy \\r\\n text ever since the 1500sand after sending the email the content was coming in a single line (without line breaks) : Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s.Can anyone please check and let me know? After a user is forgotten within iterable, should I still be receiving webhook events for that user.

When a user request to be forgotten in iterable, should I still be receiving webhook events for them. Or should the webhook events stop being sent to my application once the user has requested to be forgotten.
