Has anyone started a custom subscription preference center? Any learnings or recommendations?

I’m considering the creation of a custom preference center for our users to control which subscriptions they want and do not want to keep receiving. I’m curious to hear if anyone that has already gone through the process has any tips, tricks, ideas, learnings and or recommendations on how to approach this.

Handlebar in webhook

Question: variable comparison in journey logic

Hi there! We’ve moving into Iterable and working to create/recreate journeys we had elsewhere. And… we’re getting caught on how to compare variables within Journey elements. For example: We have a journey workflow that begins when an event (actionGetStarted) occurs. The actionGetStarted has an ID (actionGetStarted.id). Once the workflow has complete, we send that workflow into another. Ideally, if a person has not taken an action with X days (which results in actionSubmission event, with actionSubmission.actionId) then we’d send them a reminder. Using the various blocks, like yes/no, hold until, etc., I see we can check against one of those two -- for instance, I can select actionGetStarted.id from the incoming journey event - but I have no way to designate that it should check for the second item, which is actionSubmission.id, given that the input box is checking for plaintext. Is there any way/means to use that second box as an event comparator? Thanks!

Iterable in-apps / bottom sheets

Hi Iterable community! We’re relatively new to the platform and setting up various in-app templates. While the bottom sheet satisfyingly appears with a quick animation from the bottom of the screen, as you can see we're left with a hole between the sheet itself and the bottom of the screen. It appears that the HTML code we used to produce such design is correct, and we're now wondering if there's a way to fill that gap. Anyone else had this issue? Would also be keen to connect with anyone from the Iterable community for journey/campaign setup and in-apps - would be great to learn and share tips! (As you know, it takes some time to get up to speed with the platform!) Thanks :)

Outlook Distortion - Logo Snippets

Has anyone else experienced issues with emails being distorted when received in Outlook? I have logo images stores in a snippet so that I can build a master template and each client will see their respective logo. This works perfectly unless the email is being received in Outlook. Does anyone have a solution to remedy this issue? Using images on the template builder rather than a snippet would not be sustainable long term as that would require a separate template per client rather than utilizing the snippet feature.  Thanks!

List Health Reporting

Looking for a solution on how to report out Total Unsubscribes and Total New Subscriptions. Who signed up, and who opted out. Raw numbers- not %. and not just on batch campaigns, totals for a time period, so customizable date rage. Any great solves?

Disable Click Tracking on Links

Hi,Does anyone know of a way to disable Iterable's tracking on some email links?We are emailing creative for people to use, including a trackable link for each recipient.If they copy and paste from the email, we don't want them to grab the Iterable tracking.Thanks!

Does anybody know if you can use this field from the Email Send event in a Journey filter to match data? My Use Case:I'm filtering for any user who received an email in the last 3 days from a specific campaign for their account number. If they have received an email, send them to the delay, if they haven't, send the email.

SVG in HTML Content Block

Has anyone had any experience in adding svgs to the HTML section within a content block? When i have tried it, it seems to strip out the svg code and leave just the style tags and classes. Can it be done in the HTLM content block or does the whole email need to be built using HTML?

Pulling event data to Data Warehouse

Hi allWhat's best practice to export user-level data to a cloud data warehouse?I can see you can export user events via the API (/api/export/userEvents) but this requires iterating through all user events, and I can't see a time filter - so would have to export all data each data and merge into destination.You can also export campaign data but this is too high level. We need event data at a user level, but only want to export new data each day.ThanksLuke

Handlebar logic help - #or logic?

Hi Iterable community! We are looking to personalize an email based on whether or not you're in one of 22 states that are eligible for this message. I'm struggling to figure out the handlebar logic that would check if you're in one of these 22 states and populate that eligible message. The fields we're using for this are:user field = locationscontent = state initials (CA, CO, IA, etc.)type = stringEssentially, I'm looking to say:if locations=CA or locations=CO or locations=IA insert message here if else N/A. I've tried #or, #ifContainsStr, #if, etc. and so far no luck.Has anyone done something similar and can help me build out this logic?

Json code to update user profile field based on mapping

I'm working on building out a campaign where we trigger an email recommending alternative items based on specific items added to cart. I need to get the corresponding recommended item sku onto a profile field in order to leverage the data feed (to pull in real time pricing at send time).I have a table of 100 item sku's, along with the sku of the comparable recommended products. I need the tile to simply update the users profile custom field with the comparable product sku in the table based on the value in the users shoppingCartItems.sku field.I am not a developer so struggling to get the right format. Can anybody on here, recomend a code format that can meet my goals or point me towards some information that would help?

Setting unsubscribeUrl value

Hey there,I'm currently working on creating a campaign template, and I've run into an issue with including an unsubscribe URL. I've tried adding {{unsubscribeUrl}} within double curly brackets in the URL input area of the action section, and attached this action to a button labeled "Unsubscribe." However, when I send a proof email, the button isn't clickable. How can I create a clickable button or link for unsubscribing from the campaign?Also, I'm looking for assistance in creating a template that complies with the CAN-SPAM law in Iterable. I'd appreciate guidance on achieving this both through Iterable's UI and API. Thank you!

Click tracking on mail-to links?

Hello,I recently sent a campaign that had multiple mail-to links and when I look at the campaign analytics and heatmap I do not see any clicks on the buttons with these mail-to links.I'm assuming the tracking is just not registering these, but would like some confirmation that that theory is correct or if there is another place I should be looking to see the number of clicks on these mail-to links.Thanks!

Images "Missing" in Most Emails

Starting late yesterday or early this morning, we are seeing images in emails that we haven't edited in weeks/months randomly go missing. The link targets are still there, but in an email client it simply shows a broken image icon. In the editor in Iterable, we see content blocks for the missing images, as though we never uploaded an image at all. When we check the master image library, we still see the missing/broken images there, and they look fine. Did something happen on Iterable's end that would have caused seemingly random image loss from emails/templates? This isn't a minor problem - it's nearly every email in our account.

Is there a way to change the userId on an already existing profile in an ID based project?I have multiple projects and I'm able to change the email address on my email based project, but can I do the same in the ID based project?If so, please give instruction.

Marketer getting unsubscribed from their own newsletter

One of my marketers is getting unsubscribed from the newsletter that she updates every day. She mentioned that when someone else does the updates, she doesn't get unsubscribed, so we looked at how she was updating and testing her campaign.We discovered that if she tests the links in the proof she sends to her email, then she doesn't get unsubscribed. However, if she tests the links in the content area of the campaign, she gets unsubscribed even though none of the links she tests are for unsubscribed.Has anyone else seen this problem? Where do you test your links for your emails?
