Good morning! New to Iterable and have searched both support and community and have not been able to find an answer. Hoping someone can help me understand the "Hidden by Gmail" listed under browser, device and OS in the user profile. I've only been in Iterable a couple of weeks and this is the first time I've come across this. It's only showing on those that are "Opened Email". Screenshot included.
NOTE: I am coming into a system already in place so have not had a chance to learn all of the nuances currently set up.
Appreciate any help. Thank you ~ Stacey
Hello Stacey, thank you for the question. Hidden by Gmail is just telling us that the extra open event data that we normally get is not available because Gmail doesn’t provide this to us. Other email providers will return more data like IP address, device used, etc. Please let us know if we can support you further!
Great info! Appreciate the quick response. Thank you, Steven.
steven.jones+1@iterable.com Steven are you aware if due to the gmail features we aren't getting click data back? I understand why the open data is missing but I'm seeing some cases where the next action taken by the customer appears to be a result of clicking an email but there's no click event in the customer profile.
