Iterable in-apps / bottom sheets

Hi Iterable community! We’re relatively new to the platform and setting up various in-app templates. While the bottom sheet satisfyingly appears with a quick animation from the bottom of the screen, as you can see we're left with a hole between the sheet itself and the bottom of the screen. It appears that the HTML code we used to produce such design is correct, and we're now wondering if there's a way to fill that gap. Anyone else had this issue? Would also be keen to connect with anyone from the Iterable community for journey/campaign setup and in-apps - would be great to learn and share tips! (As you know, it takes some time to get up to speed with the platform!) Thanks :)

Pulling all the subscriptions data into a data warehouse

I’m trying to figure out the best way to pull all subscription data, but we see that the API doesn't have any GET method to do this like for users or campaigns. Is there a way to pull subscriptions? Where are the templates from a created campaign stored

I noticed when creating a campaign, a template is created, but when I go to the template section, I do not see my template?  The only time I see my templates is when I create the template first.  Is it good practice or necessary to create a template before creating a campaign?  Or if its not a reusable template is it best just to create a template when creating a campaign?  Thank you in advance for any advice. Paula

Handlebar in webhook

How to do a happy birthday journey

Sorry this might be a newbie question, but I couldn’t figure out how to do a happy birthday to a user. We have 2 fields, 1 is date_of_birth in date format YYYY-MM-DD, 1 is month_of_birth which is in number format.The part I’m stuck at is that I’m trying to use segmentation to create a segment contains users that birthday is today, but Iterable checks for exact match for the date including the year, so even if the day and month match, but the year doesn’t match (so lets say this year is 2024, but user birth_of_date is 1996-10-23), then it cannot segment.So in general, what would be the suggestion for me to do a birthday journey/workflow if I have a field containing user’s birthday in my data. Thanks.

I’m considering the creation of a custom preference center for our users to control which subscriptions they want and do not want to keep receiving. I’m curious to hear if anyone that has already gone through the process has any tips, tricks, ideas, learnings and or recommendations on how to approach this.

Question: variable comparison in journey logic

Hi there! We’ve moving into Iterable and working to create/recreate journeys we had elsewhere. And… we’re getting caught on how to compare variables within Journey elements. For example: We have a journey workflow that begins when an event (actionGetStarted) occurs. The actionGetStarted has an ID (actionGetStarted.id). Once the workflow has complete, we send that workflow into another. Ideally, if a person has not taken an action with X days (which results in actionSubmission event, with actionSubmission.actionId) then we’d send them a reminder. Using the various blocks, like yes/no, hold until, etc., I see we can check against one of those two -- for instance, I can select actionGetStarted.id from the incoming journey event - but I have no way to designate that it should check for the second item, which is actionSubmission.id, given that the input box is checking for plaintext. Is there any way/means to use that second box as an event comparator? Thanks!

Outlook Distortion - Logo Snippets

Has anyone else experienced issues with emails being distorted when received in Outlook? I have logo images stores in a snippet so that I can build a master template and each client will see their respective logo. This works perfectly unless the email is being received in Outlook. Does anyone have a solution to remedy this issue? Using images on the template builder rather than a snippet would not be sustainable long term as that would require a separate template per client rather than utilizing the snippet feature.  Thanks!

Snippets | Show text when field has data, otherwise don't

I'm trying to get a line of text to show if there is something, anything, in the data field for couponDescription, and not if the field is "". I've got it working if I specify the coupon name but have not been able to get it working based on something or nothing without having to specify the text. Is this possible? Is it possible to add column variations within the same row?

Hi all! I'm trying to find a way to add two images side-by-side within the same row that I have a single column of text. It doesn't seem like Iterable's builder is conducive to that type of design layout, has anyone found solutions or workarounds to this in the past?Basically this is what I'm trying to build:Like seen above, I want to be able to place 2 logos side-by-side and have single-column text directly below that in email headers. The reason I want to do this in the same row is because I've been utilizing the "Row background image" feature (like I've done above) to add in an image as a header background.Anyone have any ideas? I'm very new to the iterable builder and an HTML beginner, so any and all suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance!

Is anyone having an issue with links in emails?

We are experiencing links in our emails. This just happened today, we've had no previous issue before today. All links work within iterable testing but links break when email is sent. Any advice?

Has anyone used Catalog in an event triggered journey?

So we're wanting to try catalog out, but only if it's able to pull items based on id numbers passed by the triggering Custom Event.For example:Custom Event: shopItemViewedwith shopItemViewed.recommedProductId[array]and we want to use Catalog in an email where we use the "recommendProductId" to bring in the properties of that matching CatalogKey item (like price, name, etc.)Has anyone been able to do something like that?Thank you for your help!

How are Open Rates Monitored and Collected?

Hi Iterable Community!I'm currently analyzing the results of an email/push notification drip campaign using the Journeys feature. One of the features used is the split feature, set 25/25/25/25 for this instance. When I collated the unique emails for the Email Opens, I was surprised to see 100% of the users had eventually opened the email. Given the stat, users must really be loyal. I would like to do some due diligence.How are Open emails signals collected? Could there be any errors?Thank you for any help anyone can provide!

Can you change a Campaign Template Name in a Workflow?

Apologies in advance if this is a silly question... We have 20+ campaigns created from a journey however they were all left with the same main template name they were created under (OPR_B_OrderProcessed_UCE. As you can imagine, it's quite confusing for the team when they go to preview and it says UCE at the top of the page instead of JPN lol. Is it possible to change the Campaign Template Name (UCE) for them to align more with the campaign name while it is attached to a live workflow?EX: Campaign named for Japan (JPN) however campaign template name is for US (UCE).The campaign name in the workflow is JPN so if I leave the content alone, can I still change the name in the campaign template (1st screenshot above) to match JPN?I want to make sure doing so won't sever any connections. Thank you.

How to manage for users with temporary email addresses?

What, if anything, are teams doing to help counteract customers that may be using temp email addresses to sign up multiple times for welcome coupon codes or offers? We ran into this recently and found a customer has been doing this periodically for about a year. I know there are many sites out there that give the email addresses (maildrop.cc, ohmyfly.com, etc) and this may be a somewhat frustrating exercise, but has this come up for you?We have a suggestion from the support team to add a filter to the beginning of our welcome flow with the offending domains and kick them out when they are identified - and we probably need to make sure they are added to a "to delete" list to dump out the bad ones periodically. I've also reached out to our CSM to see if anyone has compiled a list of these types of domains previously otherwise I will dive into the web to see how many I can identify and filter for. Anyway - just thought I would ask if anyone else has had to deal with this. Happy Friday!

System Webhook Throttling Daily

We have a webhook setup to listen for user unsubscribe events. Every day at 1:30pm CST, our backend is throttled by events being sent from this webhook... and it doesn't receive many events outside of the 1:30 batch.  Please let me know how the webhook can be configured to stop the batching or if there is another endpoint with the same data so we can make requests in a more manageable way. Today, we had 5,700 invocations the webhook at 1:31, 1,480 invocations at 1:34, and 2 invocations at 1:36.

Email & SMS Sends by locale

I'm setting up a workflow and filter by accountCountry, then filter by locale to send an email with multiple locales, then I need to send an SMS but before I can do that I need to filter out only those with mobile set. Since all email locales flow into the same filter and I'm filtering again after the email send, do I need to re-sort whomever passes the new filter by locale a 2nd time? Screenshot attached.

Custom CSS in templates

Is it possible to use custom CSS using the Drag and Drop template editor? My goal is to have more email functionality while at the same time making building these emails relatively easy for anyone within our org. An alternative could be to use the WYSIWYG template editor to add custom CSS, but if I went down this path would it be possible to have a placeholder snippet/table to be able to easily drag and drop custom HTML blocks?

How do I alert a contact when another contact fills out a webform

Hello Iterable Community! First post! Apologies if it's in the wrong place or I'm treading old ground... but I thought this would be the best place to start to get an answer for an old ask on a new platform.An internal stakeholder looks after 200+ webforms which upon submission deliver an alert containing all of the data captured on the webform to a third-party. As we've recently moved to Iterable these 200+ webforms will soon be retired and, obviously, recreating them, seems laborious, especially when Iterable surely has a better solution?We use Digioh for our webform solution and the intention here is rather than have 200+ webforms, have a drop down whereby a contact can select an option that's applicable for them.My question is, based off of this option, is it possible to trigger an email from Iterable delivering the contact's submission details to another email address defined by us?Again, apologies if this is something fairly standard! I've only just completed the Foundations cour

How can I use a link with a + in it without it breaking?

Many of our links to specific products or brands include a + in them, there is unfortunately no way around it. However, when we try to insert a link with a + into Iterable a deploy, the link breaks. There HAS to be a way to work around this, I know I'm not the only one that has encountered it but I'm new to the platform.HELP???

Is anyone using external html/css tool for building in app messages?

The editor does not have lots of options and can make Inapps feel really off brand so we are looking at using a third party tool to help.As there are so many html/css tool available where you can easily create these kind of app overlays and then export the code. For example bubblo.io (although this one does not let you export it).Is anyone using any or tried to do this?
