The Iterable Community Holiday Festival is Happening!

Welcome to our third annual holiday celebration in the Iterable Community!  We truly love this tradition in the community - not only do we get to give the community a fun and festive makeover, but more importantly,  it gives us a chance to reflect on all that we accomplished over the last year and share what we’re looking forward to in the future. Big thank you for being here this week and for sharing!

Take a look below for what you can expect and how you can win Iterable swag and prizes:

Leaderboard

For each discussion that you actively participate in (as in contributing to the conversation, not just liking or upvoting), you will be awarded 5 points! The top 3 community members with the most points at the end of the Iterable Community Holiday Festival will win the top prizes. I’ll be updating the leaderboard daily so check back and see where you stand in the rankings!

Prizes

Every day we will be raffling off prizes! If you participated in that day's conversations, you will automatically be entered into a raffle to win the prize of the day. It’s that simple. Check back in each day to see what (and how many!!) prizes we’ll be raffling off.

  • First Place: $200 gift card

  • Second Place: $100 Gift card

  • Third Place: $50 Gift card

Here’s how you can win your first prize and points:

As we do for all the themed weeks in the community, let’s kick it off by sharing something about ourselves! Because we’re here to celebrate the holidays, share your favorite holiday movie!

Is it a classic like Home Alone? Have you watched A Christmas Prince so many times that Netflix tweeted about you? No judgments here! Go ahead and share in the comments!

I’ll start by sharing mine: I love How the Grinch Stole Christmas and watch it every year. Jim Carey is just amazing in it.

*Share and get 5 points, PLUS, you’ll be entered into a raffle to win a pair of Iterable socks to keep your feet warm and toasty this winter!

Tough call... the Rudolph claymation movie is a classic, but I think Love Actually is my favorite.

Mine is always Elf!

The Polar Express is a family favorite. Love Tom Hanks!

Agree with Ryan...this one's tough. I always watch The Nightmare Before Christmas... :p

I'll go with Christmas Vacation.

Does Mean Girls count? Hah

So my favorite that I consider a Christmas movie because it takes place in winter in The Grand Budapest Hotel, but if we're being strict about it, Elf.

There are so many great Christmas movies, but I would have to say my favorite is The Santa Clause!! 🌲

Love Actually is my favorite 🙂.

I grew up watching How the Grinch Stole Christmas. I watch it every holiday year and it just brightens me up!

I used to watch The Santa Clause year-round 😂

It's not very good, in hindsight, so I can't recommend it if you haven't already seen it.

White Christmas is my favorite Christmas movie! A classic, amazing music and great dance scenes. Plus it reminds me of being a kid at my grandparents house.

I'm in for any holiday movie with Bing Crosby - White Christmas, Holiday Inn, The Bells of St. Mary. But Miracle on 34th Street with Maureen O'Hara is pretty good too. If we go animation make sure you check out Robbie the Reindeer. 🙂 But listen to the dialog or you will miss some hidden gems.

Anyone going to start the "Die Hard is a Christmas movie" fight?? 🤣

Currently in New York so definitely rewatching Home Alone right now. Love the Central Park scene.

Elf! Elf! Elf!

We watch as a family It's A Wonderful Life every year on Christmas Eve. We have been doing it for years and just love the movie.

The Grinch (with Jim Carrey)! I can pretty much recite the entire movie.

I have to say National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

It's so hard to pick one. Love Actually my favorites and How the Grinch Stole Christmas is close behind!

Guys, all those movies are classic! Did someone mention old Disney cartoons? Bamby or SnowWhite. They are my favorite at Christmas. They teach us family values and deliver a fireplace atmosphere at our apartments.

These are all great suggestions!

Kara Sheil When I go to my sister's for Christmas, we watch Die Hard...every year. My opinion is that it IS a Christmas movie!

Elf, Love Actually, The Grinch and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation seem to be popular popular ones here!

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this discussion, instead of raffling off socks to one person, socks for everyone for this discussion! I'll be in touch with all of you to get your shipping address. 🧦🧦🧦
