Iterable’s Summer Camp is officially closed, and we’re not crying, you’re crying! Over the past few weeks, you embraced the spirit of moments-based marketing, turning everyday interactions into meaningful customer touchpoints.

From sparking personalized experiences to sharing creative summer strategies, this community showed up with imagination and serious camper energy. The tents are zipped, the fire’s down to embers, and the winners? Let’s get to it! 🔥🏕️

 

Here’s How Some Campers Brought Moments-Based Marketing to Life:

  1. @Angie Pilkington envisioned a "first bake" onboarding experience for Ooni oven users, using AI and even weather data to send timely, personalized recipes and nudges like, "It's sunny tomorrow, ready for a pizza party?" That's personalization with sizzle!

  2. @Jake Bodmer aimed to personalize the onboarding experience for streaming users by immediately recommending titles they were likely to enjoy. His objective was to engage new users early and often, using behavioral cues to build lasting habits from day one. 

  3. @connie.ng emphasized the power of combining behavioral insights with moments-based timing. She smartly pointed out, "AI is great, but if you miss what they’re doing and when they care, it’s just noise." This perfectly captures the essence of moments-based marketing.

  4. @andy.mcinally proposed a dynamic onboarding journey that uses ChatGPT to analyze user fields and serve real-time "next-best actions." This adaptive approach would get smarter and more relevant with each interaction, a perfect example of AI-powered, self-evolving personalization.

  5. @Madison McKone unlocked dynamic content automation by syncing massive content libraries across brands into Iterable using Hightouch. This allowed her to create smart, dynamic emails with no editorial lift. By leveraging tags and taxonomy, she built collections that boosted site sessions by up to 11%, transforming content into a valuable moment.

  6. @jdefs321 Shared an exciting vision to replace siloed emails, push notifications, and SMS with adaptive cross-channel journeys. His goal is to ensure customers only receive content they truly want, when they want it, based on their real-time behavior, truly embodying the "moments over messages" philosophy.

  7. @Abbie Rechsteiner OD ran experiments comparing personalized content (like using a customer's name, home city, and address) with generic messages. Her findings consistently revealed that personalization led to significantly higher click-through rates, inspiring her team to use even more data for richer, moment-driven messages.
