Amber's Fun Facts!
* My sister lives in Washington State with her family, so I love spending some of the summer there. It’s so beautiful and the lakes nearby are amazing.
* I love learning to make specialty cocktails. It’s something my roommate and I picked up recently—we’re bartenders in training!
* Reality TV is one of my guilty pleasures. Two of my favorites are "Below Deck" and "Married at First Sight. "
When and how did you get your start in marketing?
I majored in Business with a concentration in Marketing and Information Systems at CSUF, so going into a marketing position out of college was a natural fit for me. I was hired at FabFitFun after finishing up a couple of CRM internships with different companies, and I’ve been loving it since day one! Those internships definitely set me up for success.
What do you love about your role?
I love that I get to work on so many projects that impact performance. It’s exciting to collaborate with different teams and get more experience with personalization.
What’s been the proudest moment in your career?
My promotion to CRM Manager last year. I started at FabFitFun as a Coordinator, and it’s meant so much to me that I’ve been able to learn and work incredibly hard to get to where I am today. I’m very grateful!
What is one piece of advice that you would give to a new Iterable user?
Documentation is your best friend! It’s a great resource if you’re new to the platform and want to be the expert on your team. I’m also a huge fan of testing in the sandbox environment before you do anything in production.
What do you like most about using Iterable?
You can do so much with personalization! It’s amazing to provide a more personalized email experience to our members.
How do you plan to leverage Iterable in the future?
We’re working to use Iterable Catalog in even more campaigns and build out more workflows triggered by custom events.
If you weren’t a marketer, what would you be?
I love movies, and I took a few film classes in college, so I think I would be doing something in that industry if I wasn’t in marketing.
What is one goal you’d like to achieve in your lifetime?
Doing a yoga retreat in a different country is something I’d love to do in the future!
