Hello Iterable Community,
Time to Spring Clean your Drag-and-Drop Templates.
This update impacts ALL templates created via the Drag-and-Drop Editor.
We hope you’ve had the opportunity to test the upgraded Drag and Drop editor before it fully transitions on May 9, 2022. There’s nothing like being on there, creating and testing to really get a feel for the new editor.
The updated editor, uses the newest version of BEE, which offers several improvements to your experience:
- Faster design rendering
- Reduced output file size
- Simpler, cleaner HTML output
- Wider email client compatibility, including reduced Gmail clipping
If you have not yet upgraded or unsure if you already have, we strongly encourage contacting your CSMs, so you can understand the impact of these changes before it permanently rolls out on May 9. By contacting your CSMs early, you’ll have more time to prepare for the update and get support on any issues before BEE stops supporting the previous version.
IMPORTANT: This change impacts all templates created via the Drag-and-Drop Editor. The editor has changed its HTML formatting from
to to reduce file sizes and improve code efficiency. This formatting change will occur anytime you create or edit templates in the updated editor. If you have added custom HTML to your templates (for example, with snippets or HTML blocks), we recommend running thorough end-to-end tests as you update to the new version. You may need to edit your HTML to make it compatible with the new format.
