Iterable is failing to send most of our push notifications right now with the following error:
Client exception, status code: 400, from client: IterableClient,
with response body:
{"msg":"API Send fail","code":"QueueEmailError","params":null}
What does this error mean though? I can't find anything on the Iterable site about QueueEmailError and how we can resolve it.
Hi Alexandra Egli 400 errors are generally going to be one of the ones listed in the above picture: BadApiKey, BadParams, BadJsonBody, QueueEmailError, GenericError, InvalidEmailAddressError, DatabaseError, EmailAlreadyExists, or Forbidden. QueueEmailError is most likely an issue with queueing up the email.
I see you filed a support ticket with support@iterable.com with the information on your question. I will make sure we have someone investigate this issue further for you.
Cheers,
Julia
Julia Vaughan Is there any documentation on this error code?
Hi Jessica Bleser sadly we do not have documentation on that error code, but I'd be happy to list all the possible error codes that can populate here for reference:
Codes:
2xx, usually only ever 200, means Success.
4xx errors: BadApiKey, BadParams, BadJsonBody, QueueEmailError, GenericError, InvalidEmailAddressError, DatabaseError, EmailAlreadyExists, or Forbidden.
5xx errors, you shouldn't receive these from our API, if you do that generally means our API machines are down or there's an issue on our end. You should report this issue to support if it happens.
I'd be happy to pass a request to have the meaning of these codes documented for future use!
Best,
Julia
QueueEmailError is most likely an issue with queueing up the email.
Do you have any insight as to why we'd receive this on attempt to send a push notification? This feels like an incorrect exception being issued from our context
Hi Jeff Johansen I was able to sync with our team and see our Senior Support agent Michael is currently investigating the cause of your error and will respond via email ticket shortly.
Thank you for your patience and for reaching out!
Best,
Julia
