Hi all-

Trying to troubleshoot an issue we had with an email sent earlier this week. For context- we send many of our blast emails via journeys, using the "Schedule" start tile to pull people from static lists.

On our original send, we pulled from a static list of approximately 1.04 million contacts and sent them an email. Then, later that week, we sent another 145K contacts thru the journey so they could receive the email as well. While I was building the additional list, I made sure to exclude contacts who received the first original email (so people would not receive it twice). I adjusted the journey to trigger from the new static list.

Upon reviewing performance today, we noticed that over 1.5 million contacts had received the email. However, only 1.19 million should have gotten it. It looks like about 451K contacts received the email twice. Could someone let me know how this is possible? I am wondering if I should have included an additional filter in journey to double-check that no one received the email more than once.

Thanks all!

Hi Jill Kindelan ! Could you please submit a support ticket to support@iterable.com and include the the above detail. The support team commonly troubleshoots issues similar to this so they should be able to help you pretty quickly troubleshoot where the additional users came from. In the support ticket can you please include the Journey ID, campaignID, and the ListId that was used when triggering the Journey that led to the subsequent send.

Cheers,

Alex

Hi Alex Shea! We can move this one over to the other ticket w/ James.
