Let's talk gold medal worthy subject lines

Competing for your consumers' attention can often feel like an Olympic sport, you have to be creative, catchy and come up with content that is attention grabbing. We want to know, what are some subject lines that you've seen that deserve that gold medal?

I’ll start with our a few subject lines from our friends over at Drizly because I just love how much fun they have with theirs, check out a few here:

_"I've been here a year, so here's $3"_

_"12 oz. curls: still not a sport"_

I'm always a fan of Duluth Trading's cheekiness in their marketing pieces.

@Kara Sheil that subject line would for sure get me to open their email!
Outback Steakhouse usually has very clever and fun subject lines!
I love the way Reformation has branded their own unique subject line style.

Sometimes over the top but always short, always all caps and always just enough information to make me curious about what they're selling.

It is the puns that always get me!

_" Halo, is it me you are looking for? " from Halo Ice Cream._

I also received one once, but cannot find it or remember the company!

_"Better than their deals *Insert pointing up emoji*"_
I LOVE that second one @Kristen Barnes, so much sass!
I like subject lines that have a unique tone and especially when that tone is present in other channels. I like how ReallyGoodEmails does it.

When sharing for how long you've been subscribed to their newsletter, they used the subject line:" We’re not counting or anything… 🕙"! and they had fun with this tone throughout the email.

Another good one is when they were talking about our inability to "like" emails. Then the subject line was "Like, totally" (Which I can't read without using the voice of a California Valley girl).

They use this cheeky tone in their website too, with the newsletter subscription pop up, and their subscription confirmation sequence.

I agree with @Mariajose Balboa !

Really Good Emails has super catchy and funny subject lines!

Any subject line from Chubbies. I love this recent one for their swim trunks sale:
@Kristen Barnes - we went through some puns with our subject lines. I'm not sure our customers enjoyed them as much as we did writing them. 🙂
POSTED THIS ON THE WRONG CONVERSATION LOL.

@Reina Toeda @Kara Sheil when I started meditating I used Headspace! I LOVED it. - I was referencing you mentioning using Calm!

The founder used to be a monk, and then went back to regular life and decided he wanted to make meditation something anybody could do and he launched Headspace.

The free app is quite limited, but they have 2 shows in Netflix and both finish with meditations or wind down before sleep. I highly recommend them.

Plus their graphics are beautiful. They use animations and color everywhere.

This is a welcome email when you have a paid subscription.

AND, the one of the trailers for one of the Netflix shows:

@Mariajose Balboa I like headspace too! I tried it when they first came out years ago, and completely forgot about them! Their graphics are sooo good!
