Hi I haven't found any existing info on this, maybe you can help?

I believe Iterable can trigger in-app messages which could be used to request app store ratings from specific audience segments we want to target - but can iterable trigger the iOS/Android standard app rating prompts from the platform ?
Hi @James CMA ! It's not currently possible to trigger standard app rating prompts directly from the Iterable platform. Is there a particular use case that this would help you with in the future?
Hi Alex - thanks for the response

we are looking to implement a soft/custom ratings prompt from iterable to an audience whose criteria we can define.

we'd ideally like to use a custom design for the prompt - eg. send bad ratings to a support page and have good ratings feeding into the apps store

do you know how close to this we can get in iterable ?

thanks
Most critically do you know if we can do anything to send app ratings to the stores from iterable - or whether the only source of ratings are the standard prompts that have to be coded into the apps?
Hi James - The soft ratings prompt you describe should be doable by creating an In-App message that triggers your app to handle the press by calling for the system prompt when the 'yes' button is pressed. However, this handling must be coded into your app as the Iterable SDK cannot call for the prompt directly.
Thanks for the answer I think we will look at triggering the
SKStoreReviewController for iOS
and ReviewManager_requestReviewFlow for Android
from the click of a button within an in-app-message
