Hello Iterable Community,
Managing SMS compliance in the face evolving mobile carrier standards just got easier!
Today, we’re launching SMS Opt-Out Settings, our new disclaimer management feature to help marketers balance carrier compliance and customer preferences from a simple drop-down.
As carrier guidelines around brand-initiated SMS messages from 10-digit long codes evolve (AT&T, most notably), we wanted to ensure marketers had an easy way to apply appropriate disclaimers to messages without having to update every single template. SMS Opt-Out Settings now lets you apply disclaimers to texts: the initial, all _(our recommendation for maximum deliverability!)_, or none* of your messages.
SMS Opt-Out Settings is now available to everyone and can be found on your “Project Settings” page. To learn more about this new feature, please visit our release notes on the matter. Still have questions or feedback about this feature? Share below or talk to your CSM! Thanks!
_*The omission of disclaimer settings from SMS is not recommended and must be initiated by your CSM._
