Brave New World, Brave New Leaders

Many of us watched Sam Wilson take up the shield this weekend in Captain America: Brave New World. His journey proves that leadership isn’t about superpowers, it’s about elevating strategy, sharpening your expertise, and growing into the leader you’re meant to be.

Marketing requires the same mindset. Bold strategies, hands-on expertise, and continuous growth set industry leaders apart. At Activate Summit, we’re diving into exactly that, helping you transform your approach, refine your skills, and expand your impact.

  • Which of the three track interests you the most and why?
  • How do you see this track helping you in your work or career?

I would select track #2 here because I think it is the one closest to where we are as a company when it comes to Iterable and our Martech stack. We are currently bringing new markets and teams into Iterable so ensuring we use it to properly up skill our teams globally is very important to us now.
I see this track helping us realize the most value out of Iterable while also allowing us to review/redesign our marketing processes to ensure we make the most out of it.

AMAZING intro to this prompt! It’s definitely a new world out there in marketing, and it takes a level of boldness to really jump into it and experiment and explore!

For me and where I sit at my company, Track 2 has also caught my eye. We started with Iterable about a year ago and are continuing to roll out various components of it to enhance how we market our different products to our different audiences. Our flagship product is doing a lot of work this year on personalization, so it is on the minds of everyone at the company. In a small team, I’ve already started working on how to experiment and build out personalized tracks in Iterable for our segmented users, and I know there is so much more to learn and to try. There’s a lot of excitement about this tool and what it can offer, and Track 2 would absolutely be relevant to the times for me and my company.

I like the Power Your Professional Growth track because it focuses on AI, communication, and leadership. Learning to use AI, improve communication, and manage change will help me grow in my career. It will also make working with teams and adapting to new challenges easier. This track will help me build skills that make me a better leader and help me keep up with changes in marketing.

#3 for me; I’m always looking to grow professionally, and career growth generally includes leadership of some sort. Change is a big part of business, and knowing how to leverage it to get the most out of a team is an amazing skill to have, so having the opportunity to learn how to lead high-performing teams through change and communicate effectively with them will be a great levers to own. Also, knowing how to leverage AI to boost my own performance sounds amazing!

Dang all of these tracks sound so interesting and applicable across my role.

I am definitely most interested in “Upskill with Iterable”. My team and I are trying to get Catalogs off the ground and have quickly realized that our data foundation is not currently built well enough to sustain it. Not only would this track help me better understand the data side of the house but it will for sure help me take the knowledge I already have with Iterable and grow on it.

Thank you for the fantastic prompt! It was tough choosing between #2 and #3, as both are highly relevant to my role and industry.

However, I would have to say that #3, “Power Your Professional Growth via Leadership, AI, and Building Long-Term Success,” resonates the most with me. The ability to foster and support high-performing teams that can adapt quickly to change is critical. Rather than relying on specific tasks, it's about encouraging intelligent communication within the team, leveraging AI effectively, and focusing on long-term success.

While tasks can be learned, skills are transferable and stay with you for life. Strengthening leadership to nurture and grow those skills long-term not only builds better teams, but it also enhances efficiency and output. A team that understands its audience, marketing criteria, and adapts to change is the key to long-lasting success in an ever-evolving industry.

Track #3 - I often find myself overwhelmed by the amount of AI tools that promise to help increase efficiency and growth but knowing which are actually impactful with proven results is necessary.

Track #3 for me as well! The job market is WILD right now and it’s important to not only have the skills to grow in your current role, but be a top candidate for future positions on your career path. One of the things I’ve always struggled with is showcasing my work. I often assume my results will speak for themselves and have found it difficult to be my own best advocate, something that has become more and more essential as I’ve grown in my career. Any additional help in not only building my skill sets, but showcasing them as well, would be highly beneficial!

Being in Marketing Operations as the manager of Iterable, #2 tracks for me. I am always looking for ways to enhance the data that we have in the platform to provide as much value as we can to our customers. Building automation is a key part of marketing and that involves building our data foundation in the form of new tech or building upon what we already have. Also, using tools to have our tech stack talk to each other, so cross-channel strategies can be more efficient.

So many great sessions! As a lifecycle marketer, I’m excited about all three tracks, but Power Your Professional Growth stands out (AI, personal growth, and managing change are top of mind). I’ve been working more with our eng team on data integration, so I’m curious how AI and experimentation can help us move faster.

I’m also really interested in The Future of MarTech and Iterate Fast with Experimentation (staying ahead of trends and testing smarter is key for me). And of course, deliverability and cross-channel strategies—anything that makes Iterable easier to use is a win! Again, everything sounds great.

Definitely excited for Activate sessions! I always learn something.

Track #1 for me ! We (at nesto) are in our development stages of our lifecycle program, and there’s so much we can learn to adapt to market needs/trends.

In my role at nesto (mortgage tech company), we have noticed a huge shift in our client base behaviour. Online mortgage solutions are becoming more common, and our base is starting to interact with us in different ways. It is no longer about convincing them that digital is the way to go,  but rather that we are the way to go. Our tone has had to evolve, but now our contact strategy has to evolve with that… To meet our client expectations, but also to keep ourselves on top of new martech trends / solutions to continuously improve/optimize while maintaining a lean team.

Track 3 interests me the most because it focuses on professional growth, leadership, and AI—key areas that can elevate my impact as a CRM Marketer. Embracing AI tools and strengthening communication skills are essential for driving effective customer engagement and collaboration. Additionally, learning how to foster high-performing teams through change will help me navigate evolving marketing landscapes and improve cross-functional alignment.

They all sound beneficial, but I think Track 2 for me!

With new features rolling out all the time, I’m positive that there are features, strategies, and techniques available to me that I’m unaware of. I think getting a detailed walkthrough of how to best utilize them all to advance CRM/Lifecycle Marketing for my company would be invaluable. Deliverability is also always a hot topic, and with changing regulations and requirements, it’s a topic that everyone needs to be on top of.
